Remo Introduces New Bass Drum Head
Remo introduced the new PowerMax Pre-Muffled Marching Bass Drumhead yesterday. It is a pre-muffled drumhead with a free-floating muffling ring designed to allow an individual to take it out of the box, crank it, and then go out and play.
Obviously designed to compete with the Evans MX1 White bass drumhead, it will be interesting to hear the side-by-side difference between the two heads.

2006 DCI Classic Countdown Voting Begins Today
The polls are now open to cast your vote for the DCI Classic Countdown. Select your favorite corp shows from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s between now and February 13th. The shows with the most votes will make it into the Countdown shown in theaters on April 27th.

NAMM Show in California Starts Today
The National Associates of Music Merchants Winter Convention starts today in Anaheim, California. All of the major drum manufacturers will be there showing off their new products for 2006. If everything goes as planned, we will have coverage from Anaheim including pictures of the new products by the drum manufacturers.

Vic Firth's I&E Videos
Vic Firth recently put up a page that showcases some of the talent displayed at the 2005 DCI I&E Championship during Finals week. While there is some great stuff on there; notables include the Colts Cymbal Ensemble, the SCV Tenor Ensemble, and Tim Jackson's Tenor Solo.
